Ardan James – AJ the Animated Illusionist

When you combine an incredible artistic communication style with an equally incredible message it will impact students… and stick with them! AJ has an ability to provide a message in ways that engage, entertain and educate all at the same time, incorporating dance, illusions, physical comedy, gravity defying stunts, mime and a host of other techniques. His presentations are highly interactive and memorable.

Mr. James started as a ventriloquist but found that neither he nor the dummy were verbally funny...so he taught himself pantomime. While completing his degree in the media arts and a minor in education, he worked in a magic store. It was a few years later that he put together his favorite areas of each of the arts, and with audience participation, developed his award-winning act.

Europe, Japan, Australia, and Canada are a few of the countries he's traveled to, in addition to the 48 contiguous states.

He has been performing professionally for over 15 years now, writing all his own material. He continues to create new material and programs. Mr. James has six programs for school assemblies with variations for all grades. Fun family/ school programs are also available.

He has opened for Mac King, Gary Shandling, Howie Mandel, Ray Romano, Kevin Nealon and received many accolades and awards.

Ardan James - The Animated Illusionist, combines the hilarious expressions of Mr. Bean with the creativity of Buster Keaton, the agileness of Dick Van Dyke, the spontaneity of Robin Williams and the wonder of Houdini and rolls them all up in one.
