Tammy Borden

Tammy has a passionate heart that longs for youth to embrace God’s unconditional grace. She longs to release youth from their distorted views of God and offer opportunities for them to know Him for who He really is. Tammy uses her own struggles from the past to encourage and empower youth today by sharing her personal battles with fear, anxiety, depression, doubt and self-image during her teen years.

Her expressive humor, personal stories and life lessons offer hope to teens, showing that no matter how overwhelming and fallen their situation may seem, God has and will continue to extend his love and grace.

Tammy often shares the amazing story of her own struggle with past secret sins in surprising detail to show that, no matter how desperate your situation feels, there is hope.  Having secretly battled a life-threatening eating disorder for several years, Tammy can relate to and address the feelings of worthlessness, desperation and failure that many teens struggle with first hand. 

She compassionately, yet boldly speaks on tough issues like cutting, eating disorders, pornography and other compulsive and addictive behaviors, addressing underlying causes. She offers healing for those who feel trapped behind the masks they wear.  Despite the serious subject matter, Tammy is able to delicately intersperse humor and lighthearted anecdotes, along with her powerful stories to take the listener on a journey of discovering their own.

In addition to a younger audience, she also addresses women’s groups on issues of inner beauty, enduring hardships and other topics.

Tammy has served in leadership within her church for more than ten years, has participated in Dynamic Communicators Workshops and is passionate about using the arts to communicate the gospel. She also provides personal counsel to teens through Life Promotions online services.
