Life Promotions 2 > Golf Marathon

The 8th annual event was to be held at Ridgeway Golf & Country Club in Neenah, WI on Monday June 9th, 2008. Because of torrential rains over the weekend, the event was moved to Eagle Creek Golf Course at the last minute. We still had fun! This year participants "teamed-up" to play 100 holes of golf by playing in a one-of-a-kind 4 person- 25 hole scramble. Participants enjoyed a day of golf while helping raise resources for Life! Promotions through sponsorship. In addition to golf, activities at the golf outing included a silent auction, skill competitions, raffles, dinner and a short presentation. Dinner was held back at Ridgeway Country Club.

Facts from 2008 Charity Golf Outing:

· This year's marathon raised over $51,000 for youth programs.

· Our highest support total raised by a single golfer in 2006 was nearly $5,000! The highest amount raised ever in the history of the Golf Marathon was over $9000! (Don't forget to ask if your employer offers corporate matching for employees giving!)

· Prizes for last year's golfers included gift certificates to some of the areas finest golf courses, plus Scheels, Target, Express Convenience Centers, Mary's Family Restaurants, Life! Promotions events, and more.

· Silent Auction items included Autographed Packer Football, Flowering crab trees, Badger Hockey Tickets and more.

· A Silent Auction was part of the fun in 2008! Many great items, such as golf and dinner packages to area golf courses, and more were offered, with all proceeds going directly to the ministry of Life! Promotions.

· Last year's grand prize raffle was a 42" HDTV with over 85% of participants participating in the give-a-way.
